Services and Forms

Many people are not aware of the services available to them through the State Government. My office offers a large range of free services to the local community. My electorate staff, Narelle and Frank would be only too pleased to help with any queries or concerns you have. So why not drop in to introduce yourself and have a chat over a cup of coffee or tea - My door is always open!

Photocopying

A complimentary photocopying service is available to not-for-profit organisations located in the Gaven Electorate.

Applications - JPs & CommDecs

Applications for admission as a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Declarations, which require nomination by myself as your State Member of Parliament, are available either by downloading the pdf forms (below) or as hard copies from the electorate office.

Once completed, your application will be forwarded to the Attorney-General's office. Processing usually takes 4-6 weeks and my office will advise you periodically on your applications progress.

Government Grants

I can help community groups, clubs and organisations apply for any of the large number of grants available through the State Government.

For details on the types of grants available, please phone my electorate office or click on the link below to visit the Queensland Government Grants website.

Letters of Support

I am happy to provide letters of support to not for profit organisations submitting applications for government funding programs. To do so, I require information on the purpose of the funding, organisational particulars and benefits for both the organisation and the wider community.

A letter of support request form may be downloaded from the link (below) or obtained directly from my office. This can then be returned in person or via email, fax or regular post. Please allow 2-3 weeks processing, and remember, the more details you can provide, the better chance your application for funding has.

Fact Sheets, Consumer Guides & Legislation

Information on new and amended legislation (Child Protection Act, etc), helpful fact sheets and consumer guides may be obtained from my electorate office. PDF copies of these are also available for download below.

Letters and Certificates of Congratulation

If you or someone you know is celebrating a birthday or wedding anniversary milestone, my office can help with a letter or certificate of congratulation. I can arrange a letter from myself as your local State Member of Parliament, the Premier, Prime Minister or the Queen, depending on the occasion. Letter of Congratulation Request forms, including eligibility criteria, are available for download from this site (click on link below) and should be returned to my office in person, or via email, fax or regular post. Remember to allow plenty of notice time (usually 4-6 wks).
